This program is designed to help students develop foundational knowledge to assist people obtain wellness goals as a health coach.

Program Purpose


This program provides a robust foundation in the principles, techniques, and ethics of health coaching. Empowering participants to guide clients to sustainable health and wellness.

Learning Outcomes


  • Identify various life stressors and potentially stressful situations.
  • Explore the physical and physiological effects of chronic and acute stress.
  • Demonstrate the difference between change talk and sustain talk
  • Develop successful coping mechanisms to deal with stress.
  • Identify which stage of change a person is in.
  • Identify change talk
  • Assist clients in creating SMART goals.
  • Describe at least twelve relaxation techniques
