In an effort to meet the needs of growing industry demands, Arizona Western Entrepreneurial College is offering a new course that prepares students for Level 1 and 2 certifications in electric vehicle (EV) service and safety. The 8-week course is set to begin this October.

Arizona Western College invites the community to participate in a Back to School Food Drive from August 11 to September 8. AWC’s free food pantry, The Cubby, aims to raise 1,000 non-perishable food items to support students in Yuma and La Paz counties this semester.
The KAWC news team recently earned national awards through the Public Media Journalists Association. Episodes from KAWC’s news program, Arizona Edition, earned first and second place prizes—the episodes centered around news stories from the border region and interviews hosted by KAWC News Director Lou Gum and Reporter Victor Calderón.
Arizona Western Entrepreneurial College is now offering an Electrician certification program entirely in Spanish. Starting this fall at the Wellton Manufacturing Training Center, the program will cover basic electrical wiring skills and allow students to graduate with an occupational certificate in two semesters.
