Approved institutional budget will not increase property tax levy 


This week, the Arizona Western College District Governing Board approved the institutional budget for the 2025-2026 fiscal year. The new budget prioritizes student success and access to education through investments in scholarships and the growth of initiatives like the Arizona Western Entrepreneurial College and Early College programs, all without increasing the property tax levy.

New Marketing program to launch this Fall


This Fall, Arizona Western College is launching a new degree path for students interested in pursuing careers in marketing, sales, digital marketing, or public relations. With AWC’s new Associate of Applied Science in Marketing, students will be ready to confidently enter the dynamic field of marketing in the private, public, and non-profit sectors.

Registration is open for the 2025 Chapman Automotive Summer Basketball Camp on June 2-5, 2025. K-12 boys and girls are invited to attend the four-day camp and learn footwork, ball handling, shooting form, defense, and rebounding from the Matadors coaching staff.

Become a certified EKG Technician in under 12 weeks


A new industry certification at Arizona Western Entrepreneurial College allows individuals to obtain an industry certification as an EKG Technician in under 12 weeks. With classes starting on June 2, students are encouraged to apply.

All in the family: Mother, daughter, and son celebrate triple graduation


At the 2025 Commencement ceremony on May 16th, three Arizona Western College students celebrated a very special night for their family. Maria Molina, an AWC employee, and her daughter and son celebrated the completion of their associate degrees on the same night. The triple graduation highlighted AWC’s commitment to diverse, accessible pathways that support students at every stage of their journey.

Reetika Dhawan receives IDIA Community Champion Award


Arizona Western College’s Reetika Dhawan was recently awarded the Community Champion Award by the Institution for Digital Inclusion Acceleration (IDIA), recognizing her for her leadership in workforce development and contribution to Arizona’s digital economy.

OADN Honor Society celebrates first induction ceremony


Last week, Arizona Western College recognized 28 fourth-semester nursing students as they were the first AWC class to be inducted into the Iota-Theta chapter of the OADN Honor Society. The honor society recognizes students for academic excellence and commitment to the nursing profession.
