Program Purpose
The purpose of the Supply Technician Apprenticeship program is to cultivate a robust pipeline of qualified logistics professionals who possess the technical expertise and operational discipline required to manage complex supply systems. The program seeks to empower apprentices with a deep understanding of inventory accuracy, resource allocation, and regulatory compliance, ensuring they can contribute to the economic resilience and logistical excellence of our regional industry partners.
Learning Outcomes
- Execute Inventory Control Protocols: Demonstrate proficiency in utilizing automated inventory management systems to track, audit, and reconcile stock levels with 100% accuracy.
- Optimize Supply Chain Workflows: Analyze and implement efficient receiving, storage, and distribution procedures to minimize lead times and reduce operational waste.
- Ensure Regulatory and Safety Compliance: Apply federal, state, and industry-specific safety standards and hazardous material handling protocols within a warehouse or distribution setting.
- Manage Procurement and Vendor Relations: Facilitate the requisition process by evaluating vendor performance, managing purchase orders, and ensuring the timely delivery of critical supplies.
- Utilize Data for Decision Making: Interpret logistics data and performance metrics to troubleshoot supply chain disruptions and recommend data-driven improvements to management
