Meet MATABOT, the SLLC’s new personal assistant robot


On March 19th, San Luis Learning Center unveiled their new personal assistant robot, MATABOT. The AI robot is equipped with autonomous navigation, voice interaction, and facial recognition, currently guiding students around campus and offering in-class support.

Honor Society students raise $1227 for Amberly’s Place 


Nursing students from Arizona Western College’s chapter of the Organization for Associate Degree Nursing Honor Society hosted a community service project at Amberly’s Place earlier this week. The students raised over $1200, which they used to purchase multiple care items for the family advocacy center, in addition to gathering donations for Amberly’s Place Thrift Shoppe.

Entrepreneurial College offers certification in HR Management

This summer, the Homeland Security program at Arizona Western Entrepreneurial College will offer an online Border Security course, providing an overview of border security with an emphasis on the US-Mexico border.

Reetika Dhawan named to ADCRR Director's Advisory Committee


Reetika Dhawan has been appointed to the inaugural Director’s Advisory Committee for the Arizona Department of Corrections, Rehabilitation & Reentry. Dhawan will be one of nine committee members from the state of Arizona to serve in this capacity, assisting to reshape the work of corrections facilities.

Seventh Multilingual Student Expo celebrates “Music as a Multilingual Bridge”


Join First-Year English Composition students on March 19 as they present the Seventh Multilingual Student Expo, “Soundtrack of Languages: Music as a Multilingual Bridge." Students will sing, dance, and perform music in multiple languages, with four scholarships awarded for outstanding student participation.

AWC students launch Yuma History app


A new mobile app curated by AWC students offers a virtual tour of Yuma’s history through student writing and voiceovers. The free app, “Yuma History Virtual Tour,” takes users through a detailed history of Yuma’s local landmarks and historic figures.
