
Fortinet Cybersecurity Certifications offered this Fall
May 6, 2025Yuma, Ariz. (May 7, 2025) – Fall registration has opened! This Fall, take classes in Fortinet Cybersecurity to gain skills in security configuration, protect networks against viruses and external attacks, and troubleshoot Fortinet operational technology.
Arizona Western Entrepreneurial College offers four occupational certifications in Fortinet Cybersecurity, starting with foundational knowledge in PIT-140 Fortinet Certified Associate and moving to advanced concepts in PIT-143 Fortinet Certified Solution Specialist. These certifications provide students with hands-on experience using real-world tools to prepare for the threat landscape that cybersecurity professionals face today.
"These courses will be very beneficial for anyone looking to get into the cybersecurity or information technology fields,” said AWC Professor of IT Stackable Certifications Dawnelle Franklin. “Following the completion of each course, the students will receive a certificate and will have the knowledge and experience to be successful on the job.”
Classes run from August 17 to December 11 in the Fernandez Family Fortinet Cyber Security Lab of the Yuma Campus, which offers state-of-the-art equipment for students to gain hands-on training through Fortinet, which is the international leader for firewall services.
