Yuma, AZ (December 8, 2021) – The Arizona Western College Technology Service Desk recently expanded its hours to offer 24/7 support for students, faculty, and staff ahead of finals week.
The official rollout to extend service desk hours started Dec. 1, following a successful soft launch that began Nov. 1.
These critical service enhancements provide continued on-site and in-person technology support across district campus locations, ensuring that the college community has access to the resources they require to be successful in real-time.
Yuma, AZ (December 2, 2021) – The Arizona Western College Civic Orchestra will be presenting “The Spirit of Christmas” on Saturday, Dec. 18.
The community is invited to come out with the whole family to experience a beautiful selection of Christmas music. Performances will be held at 2 p.m. and 6:30 p.m. at the Historic Yuma Theater, 254 S. Main St.
In addition to the AWC Civic Orchestra, the String Ambassadors will also be performing.

Yuma, AZ (November 18, 2021) – The long-standing DeAnza Residence Hall at Arizona Western College will be coming down at 9 a.m. on Monday, Nov. 22. The demolition of the residence hall will make way for the construction of a new dorm, which is set to open in the Fall of 2023.
Episodes beginning Spring 2022
Yuma, AZ (November 18, 2021) – Starting Spring 2022, Arizona Western College students will begin making podcast episodes for “The Voice”: a new podcast created by the students, for the students, as part of The Western Voice.
Yuma, AZ (November 16, 2021) – The Arizona Western College Indigenous Student Association Club will be hosting a Native American Heritage Month Celebration on Monday, Nov. 22. The public event will be held from 11 am to 2 pm in the breezeway of the 3C Building at the AWC Yuma Campus, 2020 S. Ave. 8E.
Yuma, AZ (November 15, 2021) – The Arizona Western College Jazz Ensemble will present an evening of jazz music for all ages to enjoy during their upcoming fall concert.
The performance, entitled, “Jazz Night and Day,” will feature vocalist Grace Marceau and will begin at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 17, at the AWC Theatre, 2020 S. Ave. 8E.
The concert is free and open to the public. Donations will be accepted to benefit student scholarships.
Honorees include Amanda Aguirre, Bruce Jacobson, Mario Jauregui, Richard Lamb, and Sheriff Leon Wilmot
