Student Health and Wellness Department encourages campus to stay connected
April 24, 2020Yuma, AZ (April 24, 2020) – During a time when students, staff, and faculty are being asked to stay home, the Arizona Western College Student Health and Wellness Department is encouraging the campus community to still stay connected.
"Due to the current national emergency situation, many of us have had to transition to online courses and working remotely from home, in addition to other immense changes in our lives and the difficulties and complications that result from doing so,” said Student Health and Wellness Coordinator Christine Rouff.
“These rapid and unexpected changes can result in students and staff feeling high levels of stress, worry, fear and depression. Students in need of additional support during this time are encouraged to please contact Student Health and Wellness.”
The Student Health and Wellness Department continues to provide services for students including education and awareness, stress management, healthy skill building, support, resources, information, coordinating student referrals to appropriate local agencies, and more.

People can also visit the Student Health and Wellness Facebook page or website for more information or to request an appointment. They can also submit a student CARE Report (self-referral or faculty/staff/students can refer someone else) here.
Hours of operation are Monday through Thursday from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m.
College employees in need of additional support during this time are encouraged to contact Human Resources at human.resources@azwestern.edu or (928) 344-7505. Employees can also take advantage of the Employee Assistance Program (EAP).
