September 10, 2025Yuma, Ariz. (September 10, 2025) – Arizona Western College has been selected to join the Google AI Innovation Network, a three-year initiative that aims to support college students across the country with advanced AI tools and training. AWC was the first college in the state, and one of a select few nationwide, to receive an early invitation to the program.
"We are honored to be one of the first community colleges in the country to be selected for Google’s new initiative,” said AWC President Dr. Daniel Corr. “This partnership will open many doors for our students and equip AWC faculty and staff with the knowledge and resources needed to utilize the latest technology.”
As part of the initiative, AWC will receive free training, tools, and resources for integrating AI technology across campus through the Google AI for Education Accelerator. Additionally, all students who are enrolled by October 6, 2025, will receive one-year free access to Google Career Certificates and Google AI Pro, which includes Deep Research, NotebookLM, and 2TB of storage.
“I’m pleased to share that Arizona Western College has been selected as an inaugural partner in the Google AI Innovation Network,” said Reetika Dhawan, Arizona Western Entrepreneurial College Chief Executive Officer and Vice President of Workforce & Healthcare Programs. “This is an exciting opportunity that reflects our institution’s commitment to innovation and preparing our students and faculty with future-ready, AI-powered skills.”
Included in Google’s AI package is a featured called “Guided Learning,” which will act as a learning partner and tutor rather than providing students with quick answers. These tools are meant to provide deeper learning for students to truly prepare them for future success.
