AWC Enrollment Tour helps high school seniors take the next step

March 16, 2026

Yuma, Ariz. (March 16, 2026) – Arizona Western College (AWC) is excited to host the 5th Annual AWC Enrollment Tour, an impactful outreach initiative designed to welcome incoming Fall 2026 Matadors while supporting current high school seniors as they complete the college enrollment process.

Throughout a series of customized campus events, AWC teams provide hands-on support and personalized guidance in key enrollment areas, including admissions, orientation, course registration, financial aid, student resources, and support services. The annual event plays a critical role in ensuring a seamless transition into students’ first year of college, helping reduce “summer melt” and increase traditional enrollment.

“The Enrollment Tour is about more than enrollment, it’s about showing students that college is possible, accessible, and built for their success,” said Biridiana Martinez, Director of Outreach, Recruitment and Early College program. “When students see our team on their high school campus, ready to help every step of the way, they begin to envision themselves as Matadors and take confident steps toward their future at Arizona Western College.”

Using a “meet students where they are” approach, the tour delivers a welcoming, interactive, and student-centered experience tailored to the unique culture and needs of each high school campus.
