AWC Community Band presents “Americana” concert
March 2, 2026Yuma, Ariz. (March 2, 2025) – On March 9th, the community is invited to join the Arizona Western College Community Band for the first concert of the spring semester.
The concert's theme, “Americana,” is a tribute to the traditional genres used by American composers; the concert includes a march by John Philip Sousa, a suite of dances by the Broadway and Hollywood composer Robert Russell Bennett, and a blues composition for concert band by radio and television pioneer Jack End.
The concert will be held on Monday, March 9 at 7:00 p.m. in the 3C Schoening Conference Center of the AWC Yuma Campus. A campus map can be found here.
The event is free and open to the public, although donations to benefit AWC music scholarships are accepted.
