AWC Police Department awarded $9.5K grant from Arizona Governor’s Office for Highway Safety


Yuma, AZ (February 1, 2022) – In October 2021, the Arizona Western College Police Department (AWCPD) was named as the recipient of a $9,594 grant from the Arizona Governor’s Office for Highway Safety.

The funds will be used to purchase an Intoxilyzer 9000, a breath analyzer machine utilized to determine a person’s blood alcohol content. 

AWC receives $500K federal grant for agricultural workforce training

AWC Civic Orchestra and String Ambassadors to present Romantic Classics

Yuma, AZ (January 27, 2022) – Join the Arizona Western College Civic Orchestra and the String Ambassadors for a performance of Romantic Classics on Saturday, February 12.

The concert will feature a collection of romantically themed music including “As Time Goes By” from the movie Casablanca, selections from My Fair Lady, “When I Fall in Love,” and many more.

AWC Foundation scholarship cycle to begin Feb. 15


Yuma, AZ (January 13, 2022) – In an effort to eliminate financial barriers and make college accessible for all, the Arizona Western College Foundation has a wide variety of scholarships available.

AWC Technology Service Desk delivers around-the-clock support


Yuma, AZ (December 8, 2021) – The Arizona Western College Technology Service Desk recently expanded its hours to offer 24/7 support for students, faculty, and staff ahead of finals week.

The official rollout to extend service desk hours started Dec. 1, following a successful soft launch that began Nov. 1.

These critical service enhancements provide continued on-site and in-person technology support across district campus locations, ensuring that the college community has access to the resources they require to be successful in real-time.
