The Arizona Western College Choirs invite the community to a festive holiday concert on December 6th titled, “Deck the Halls.” AWC Choirs will be joined by the AWC String Ensemble, Kofa High School Advanced Choir, and other guest artists for the annual Christmas concert.
The Logistics Program of Arizona Western Entrepreneurial College is rolling out two new courses set to start in 2025. LGS 112 and LGS 113, which focus on service operations and international trade, are the second and third course in a three-unit certification program.
Arizona Western College Jazz Ensemble will perform its Winter Concert on December 4 at 7 p.m. in the AWC Theater.
The Arizona Western College Marketing & Communications team returned from the NCMPR District 6 Conference earlier this month with multiple accolades for outstanding achievements in marketing and public relations. In addition to the team’s 11 Medallion Awards, Director of Content Strategy and Development Sarah Herman was honored as the Communicator of the Year, and Entrepreneurial College Director of Marketing Travis Mitchell was named Rising Star.
The AWC Community Band will perform a winter concert next Monday, December 2nd at 7:00 p.m. in the 3C Schoening Conference Center. The performance will feature a mix of Christmas and traditional band repertoire.
The community is invited to join the AWCTheatre Club on November 22nd and 23rd for a unique event titled 310inYuma. The theater event features five 10-minute plays that were written and directed by AWC students in under three weeks.
Arizona Western College has completed designs on a 5,600-square-foot Manufacturing Accelerator facility that will be an extension of the Wellton Manufacturing Training Center. The $3.6M project, funded through the Future48 Workforce Accelerator Program, will equip the branch campus to offer training in electrical technology, advanced manufacturing, broadband fiber optics, and solar installation.
AWC nursing student Madeline Millan recently won a competitive national scholarship. Millan was one of four nursing students to be awarded the Abbott Scholarship from the National Association of Hispanic Nurses.
