Community Band presents Christmas concert
November 14, 2023Yuma, AZ (November 14, 2023) – The public is invited to come out and enjoy a Christmas concert presented by the Arizona Western College Community Band on Monday, Dec. 4.
The performance will be held at 7:00pm in the North Wing of the Schoening Conference Center at the AWC Yuma Campus, 2020 S. Ave. 8E, and will feature both Christmas music and other styles of concert music.
The event is free and open for the community to attend. Donations to benefit AWC Music Department scholarships will be accepted.
AWC Music department presents Chamber Music Concert
October 23, 2023Yuma, AZ (October 23, 2023) – The community is invited to attend an upcoming Student Chamber Music Concert presented by the Arizona Western College Music Department.
The event will be held at 5:00pm on Sunday, November 5, at St. Paul's Episcopal Church, 1550 S. 14th Ave.
“Talented musicians from our AWC String Ensemble will be performing selected portions of Vivaldi's ‘Four Seasons’ as well as a variety of other classical pieces,” said Margaret Fenske, AWC String Ensemble Director.

AWC presents a summer choral concert
June 23, 2022Yuma, AZ (June 23, 2022) – The Arizona Western College Music Department choral students and some alumni will team up to present a short summer concert for the community to enjoy.
The performance will be held at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, July 12, at Trinity United Methodist Church, 3030 S. 8th Ave.
Recent graduates of the AWC Music Department will be featured during the concert as soloists.
All are welcome to attend this event; it is free and open to the public. Donations to benefit the AWC Music Department will be accepted.
Faculty Chamber Music Concert to be held April 10
April 6, 2022Yuma, AZ (April 6, 2022) – The Arizona Western College Faculty Chamber Music Concert for the spring semester will feature duets and solos by instrumentalists and vocalists, as well as a performance by Yuma’s saxophone quintet, 5axes.
The public is invited to come out and attend this free concert at 5 p.m. on Sunday, April 10, at Gloria de Cristo Lutheran Church, 11273 E. 40th St. Donations to benefit the AWC Music Department will be accepted.
AWC music students to present formal recital
April 6, 2022Yuma, AZ (April 6, 2022) – The community is invited to join the Arizona Western College Music Department for its Formal Student Recital on Saturday, April 30.
Students will have an opportunity to demonstrate their progress from their spring semester private lessons. The event will feature a variety of instrumental, ensemble, and vocal solo performances.
The recital will begin at 5 p.m. at Gloria de Cristo Lutheran Church, 11273 E. 40th St. The event is free and open to the public. Donations to benefit the AWC Music Department will be accepted.
