AWC presents spring choral concert
April 11, 2024Gila Ridge to participate as guest choir
Yuma, AZ (April 11, 2024) – The Arizona Western College Chamber Singers and Yuma Chorale will present their spring choral concert, “Love is in the Air,” on Friday, May 10.
“The public is invited to share in a music celebration of love,” said Deltrina D. Grimes, AWC Professor of Choral and Vocal Music. “The concert celebrates various phases of love as well as the many forms of love that we experience throughout our lives. Whether 90, or 2 years old, you will have an opportunity to hear tunes that are ‘music to your ears.’”
The concert will begin at 7:00pm, with doors opening at 6:30pm, at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church, 1550 S. 14th Ave.
Gila Ridge High School Choir, under the direction of Choir Director Timothy O’Brien, will be featured as the guest choir for the performance.
The concert is free and open to the public. Donations are welcomed and greatly appreciated. All funds are awarded to AWC music students as scholarships.
