May 11, 2021

Yuma, AZ (May 11, 2021)New Horizons of Phoenix presented a $3,000 donation to the Arizona Western College Foundation on Thursday, May 6, to support the Veterans Art Project. The program offers free ceramics classes to military veterans, active-duty personnel, and their families (spouses and children 18 and older).

New Horizons President Zack Hiscock and Military Operations Manager Tim Kane were both in attendance at the check presentation event to meet with Veterans Art students and professors.

“Our dedication to student veterans and veterans at large reaches well beyond the walls of our organization and this case exemplifies that dedication. The AWC Veterans Art Project is a tremendous offering to the student veterans at AWC,” said Kane.

U.S. Senator for Arizona Kyrsten Sinema also sent a congratulatory letter for the AWC Veterans Art Project.

“I’m proud to see that this funding will assist you in continuing to provide creative services to veterans and service members in our community,” said Sinema. “As a member of a military family myself, I believe that one of the most important obligations we have as Americans is to do our part to support our service members, veterans, and their families.”
