What is Blackboard?
Blackboard is software that instructors at AWC use to supplement regular classroom instruction and to teach online courses. It offers a user-friendly environment where students can:
- Read announcements from the instructor
- View course information like syllabi and class notes
- Take quizzes online
- Email the instructor or classmates
- Exchange computer files with the instructor
- Read and post messages on a bulletin board
- Chat with the instructor, classmates, and more!
How do I access Blackboard?
You can access Blackboard from any computer that is connected to the internet and has a recent web browser. Point your browser to AWC homepage and click on the "Blackboard Login" graphic. You can also access Blackboard by typing directly into your browser http://blackboard.azwestern.edu

My username and password don't work. What do I do?
If you have forgotten your password you can reset your password by visiting the AWC self service account management page: SSRPM.
If you just registered for a course within the last 24 hours, please wait. It can take up to 24 hours before your registration information gets transferred into Blackboard.
