San Luis, AZ (January 17, 2019) – Local artist Enoc Palafox is currently holding an exhibition of his paintings and drawings at the Arizona Western College San Luis Learning Center (SLLC), 1340 N. 8th Avenue, San Luis, Ariz.

The exhibition is free and will be available for public viewing at the SLLC until Friday, Feb. 1. People can stop by and see his work Monday through Thursday from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Friday from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Palafox first began his artistic career in 1960 through painting classes offered by Seguro Social Offices in San Luis Rio Colorado, Sonora, Mexico. He later emigrated from his hometown of San Luis, Mexico to the U.S. Since that time, he has continued to paint and draw and refine his skills and technique working primarily with oil paint and graphite. The human figure is the predominant subject of his work along with regional landscapes.

From 2013 to the present, his work has been exhibited locally in Yuma, San Luis, and Somerton as well as in Mexico. In 2017 he organized the Club de los Artistas at the San Luis Public Library volunteering his time to support the community’s young artists.
