Event Details

AWC Asian club will host a booth to support the "Haru Matsuri: An Asian and Pacific Islander Cultural Festival" on April 1st for the Yuma Crossing National Heritage Area. Kweiman, the clubs advisor, needs many volunteers (will get a festival ticket!) to help their booth for the children's activities: paper cutting crafts, Chinese calligraphy, and the chopsticks peanut game.

If you are interested, make sure you attend the March 1st (SLLC) or March 16th (AS 115) events to learn about the paper cutting crafts and Chinese calligraphy beforehand. Please reach out to Kweiman for any questions or concerns.

Haru Matsuri will have live performances throughout the day including:
-Hawaiian Hula & Fire Dancers
-Taiko Drummers
- Martial Arts Performances
- Haiku Poetry Display
- Informational Booths
- Culturally Inspired Vendors and Food

 

Admissions and Additional Details

All admissions will be available at the gate, day of festival, April 1st, 2023 10:00 am - 6:00 pm
Adult Admission - $10
Senior Citizens (62 & Over) - $8
Children (7 – 16) - $5
FREE for children 6 and under
