Save the date: AWC careers and majors to be on display at fall event

June 26, 2019

Yuma, AZ (June 26, 2019) – Mark your calendars for the Arizona Western College Career and Technical Education (CTE) Open House and Majors Fair on November 7.

This large informational event will inform community members and students about the many disciplines available at AWC and will provide an opportunity for participants to begin the process of selecting a major.

The general public is invited to attend, including prospective students considering higher education; non-traditional students age 25 and older; AWC students who are undecided about a major or who may be contemplating switching majors; and students and non-students who are interested in pursuing a career in the skilled trades.

“This is a great opportunity for those attending to learn about the many academic and student services programs available at AWC,” said AWC Career Services Coordinator Mel Parker. “This year the event is being combined with Career and Technical Education and it will showcase the many occupational offerings available at the college as well as traditional academic programs.”

The event will be held from 4 to 7:30 p.m. in the 3C Breezeway and south hallway at the AWC Yuma Campus, 2020 S. Ave. 8E. For more information, contact Parker at Mel.Parker@azwestern.edu or (928) 344-7603.
