Raspberry Jam coming to San Luis Technology Institute in South Yuma County

San Luis, AZ (May 15, 2019) – The Arizona Western College Informatics program and the Southwest Technical Education District of Yuma (STEDY) are joining forces to offer a Raspberry Jam for middle and high school students. This is the first event of its kind to be held in Yuma County.

A Jam is an event where people with different levels of computing experience come together to teach, learn, and create with Raspberry Pi computer systems. AWC Informatics and STEDY will be hosting workshops at an upcoming Raspberry Jam event to help students learn how to use the devices, which will be set up and ready for them to explore.

The Jam will be held from 1:30 to 5 p.m. on Monday, May 20, at the AWC San Luis Technology Institute, 1135 N. Main Street.

Middle school students from Gadsden Elementary School District #32 as well as students from San Luis High School can visit www.codeyuma.org to sign up for the event.
