AWC Transfer Week starts March 9

From Matador to Wildcat, Lumberjack, and Sun Devil

Yuma, AZ (February 26, 2020) – Arizona Western College will be hosting 2020 Transfer Week from March 9-12. During this week, students will have a chance to explore a variety of different transfer opportunities. Each day, one of the Arizona universities will be featured and a Transfer and Career Expo will also be held to provide students with the option of networking with employees and organizations for degree paths offered at participating universities.

  • Monday, March 9, Arizona State University Day, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., 3C Breezeway

    Transferring students can learn what it takes to become a Sun Devil. ASU will showcase their degree programs and respond to specific student inquires through the availability of program representatives. Students will meet with an admission specialist and college representative to learn everything about admission requirements, financial aid, ASU’s learning experience, and more.

  • Tuesday, March 10, Transfer & Career Expo, 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., 3C Breezeway

    During this event, the public is invited to come learn about what career possibilities are available within an Arizona Western College major. Attendees can also explore and network with agencies and employers about current and future jobs, internships, and volunteer opportunities. Representatives from state universities and other institutions will also be in attendance to help participants find out what it takes to transfer to a university and to learn about what’s available at each campus.

  • Wednesday, March 11, Northern Arizona University Transfer Day, 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., 3C Breezeway

    NAU is bringing representatives to assist students with the transfer process to become a Lumberjack. Students will be able to see how their credits will transfer, apply on-site, receive an admission decision, and explore resources. Students will also have the opportunity to speak to representatives from local programs to prepare for a smooth transition.

  • Thursday, March 12, University of Arizona Instant Decision Day, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., AS Lobby

    This event provides students with opportunities to become a Wildcat in Summer and Fall 2020. A variety of programs will be available for student inquiries. Workshops will be held throughout the event to assist students with the admissions application and Next Steps to process Instant Admissions Decisions by the end of the day.
