AWC alumni receives Fiduciary of the Year award
May 30, 2019Parker, AZ (May 30, 2019) – La Paz County Public Fiduciary Vivian Hartless was named 2019 Fiduciary of the Year by the Arizona Fiduciaries Association.
Hartless said she is honored to receive this award and to be recognized by her peers. The Arizona Fiduciaries Association has over 200 members, including both public and private fiduciaries.
“Since our office is a two-person office, this means a lot to us. I cannot do this job alone and could not have achieved this award without the assistance of my case manager, Cora Schuler. We are a dynamite team,” she said.
Hartless graduated from AWC in 2001 with her associate degree in General Studies and continued her education at Northern Arizona University by earning a bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice with a minor in Sociology in 2007. She shared that her education helped her to prepare for her career.
“Without my education and degree, I would not be where I am today,” said Hartless.
In Arizona, the public fiduciary is appointed by each county’s Board of Supervisors and serves as a guardian, conservator, or personal representative for those individuals or estates with no one else willing or capable of serving. The La Paz County Public Fiduciary also provides decedent services to ensure that estates are protected and determines eligibility for the indigent burial program.
