Provides the student with the knowledge of the fundamental job skills for an entry-level technician and prepares them to sit for the Ready-To-Work exam and earn the Ready-to-Work Certificate through North American Technical Excellence (NATE). Also includes OSHA-10 Hour certification.

What You'll Learn
Upon completion of this class, students will have knowledge of:
- Components identification
- Tool selection and identification
- Measurements/units including area, volume, and using rulers
- Electrical safety procedures, electrical tool safety, and circuit safety
- Basic heat transfer, including sensible/latent heat and other types of heat transfer
- General safety including refrigerant safety, worksite safety, ladder safety, driving safety, and protective clothing

Displaced workers or anyone looking for valuable training to re-enter the workforce.
Registration Process: Because students earn college credit from Arizona Western College, application and admission to AWC is required. Interested students will meet with an AZ Quest Grant Coordinator to determine eligibility for the program.
