Field of Interest
Earners of the Intuit Certified Bookkeeping Professional certificate have demonstrated a knowledge and understanding of accounting and bookkeeping principles. The core concepts the earner demonstrated in the exam include accounting basics; accounting for assets and sales transactions; accounting for liabilities, equity, and purchase transactions; reconciliation, and financial statements.

Type
Students who successfully complete the course requirements will earn an Intuit Certified Bookkeeping Professional Certificate.   This is a non-credit course.


What You'll Learn

Topics covered include:

  • Bookkeeping Basics: Define accounting and the concepts of accounting measurement.
  • Assets in Accounting: Summarize the common types of assets a business may have and describe the importance of control over inventory.
  • Liabilities and Equity in Accounting: Describe the three main characteristics of liabilities. Compare and contrast the different types of equity.
  • Financial Statement Analysis: Describe and illustrate the use of a bank reconciliation in controlling cash and basic financial statement analytical methods.
