Field of Interest
Data analysts prepare, process, and analyze data to help inform business decisions. They create visualizations to share their findings with stakeholders and provide recommendations driven by data.

Type
Students who successfully complete the course requirements will earn an occupational certificate with Arizona Western College.


What You'll Learn

Upon completion of the class students will be able to:

  • Understand how to clean and organize data for analysis.
  • Learn how to complete analysis and calculations using spreadsheets, SQL, and R programming. 
  • Learn how to visualize and present data findings in dashboards, presentations, and commonly used visualization platforms.
  • Utilize key analytical skills (data cleaning, analysis, and visualization) and tools (spreadsheets, SQL, R programming, Tableau)

Registration Process: Because students earn college credit from Arizona Western College, application and admission to AWC is required.   Interested students will meet with an AZ Quest Grant Coordinator to determine eligibility for the program.
