High school seniors invited to visit AWC on Nov. 3


Yuma, AZ (October 27, 2021) – Arizona Western College will be welcoming high school seniors to the AWC Yuma Campus, 2020 S. Ave. 8E, from 3 to 6 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 3.

High School Senior Day will give students the opportunity to visit campus and learn about the benefits of continuing on to college after high school.

Matadors to compete for ACCAC Conference Championship, host NJCAA Playoffs


Yuma, AZ (October 25, 2021) – The Arizona Western College Matador Volleyball team (15-6 overall, 9-2 ACCAC) will be competing for the ACCAC Conference Championship this week and is currently in the lead by one game.

The Lady Mats will take on Scottsdale first at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 27, at the House for Sophomore Night. The match will be broadcast on AWC TV and livestreamed on azwestern.edu/live.

Mega Matador program to honor students going above and beyond

As part of an ongoing effort to accomplish this, the Mega Matador program was started to honor AWC students who go above and beyond in the campus community and exemplify what it means to be a Matador.

AWC Cash in Your Pocket program distributes $7.9M to students


Yuma, AZ (October 14, 2021) – Arizona Western College recently initiated the distribution process to put $7.9 million directly into the hands of 7,357 students through its Cash in Your Pocket program.

AWC was the recipient of several federal stimulus programs over the summer, which allowed the college to divert those funds to students beginning Oct. 7. Since starting the Cash in Your Pocket promotion, AWC has seen enrollment for Fall 2021 grow steadily, surpassing Fall 2019 and 2020 enrollment numbers.
