AWC Enrollment Tour brings resources to high school seniors


The Arizona Western College Enrollment Tour is now underway! Over the next month, AWC representatives will meet with 13 high schools from Yuma and La Paz counties, sharing resources and information on admission, registration, financial aid, and more in an effort to eliminate barriers to obtaining a college diploma.

Vote Jennifer Aitken for Custodian of the Year


Arizona Western College Custodian Jennifer Aitken was recently announced as a top 10 finalist in the 2025 Cintas Custodian of the Year contest. The winning custodian will be awarded $10,000, with voting open until April 11.

Small Business Development Center recognized with Excellence Award


Arizona Western Entrepreneurial College’s Small Business Development Center has been awarded the Excellence Award from the Arizona District Office of the Small Business Administration. The award recognizes the SBDC for its innovative work supporting small businesses and entrepreneurs in Yuma and La Paz counties.

New finance certification courses offered this April


Arizona Western Entrepreneurial College is launching a new industry certification in Financial Managerial Accounting, scheduled to run from April 28 to July 28 at the Reskilling and Technology Center.

AWC freshman called to play for Mexico’s U-20 National Team


Arizona Western College freshman Fernanda Quiroz has been called up to play for the Mexican Women’s U-20 National Team! Quiroz, who plays as a forward for the Matadors, reports to training camp in Mexico City next week.

Meet MATABOT, the SLLC’s new personal assistant robot


On March 19th, San Luis Learning Center unveiled their new personal assistant robot, MATABOT. The AI robot is equipped with autonomous navigation, voice interaction, and facial recognition, currently guiding students around campus and offering in-class support.
