QPR Suicide Awareness & Prevention Training to be held at AWC

Yuma, AZ (August 15, 2018) – With suicide being one of the leading causes of death among 15 to 35 year olds, awareness and prevention are extremely important.

Arizona Western College’s Health and Wellness Department will be hosting a QPR Suicide Awareness and Prevention Training open to the community on Thursday, Sept. 20. The training will be held from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. in the Frances Morris Boardroom, located in the 3C Building of the AWC Yuma Campus, 2020 S. Ave. 8E.

The QPR mission is to reduce suicidal behaviors and save lives by providing innovative, practical and proven suicide prevention training. QPR stands for Question, Persuade, and Refer - three simple steps anyone can learn to help save a life.
