February 20, 2024

Yuma, AZ (February 20, 2024) – Internationally renowned Mediterranean guitarist and PBS star Pavlo is coming to Yuma for the first time as part of The Santorini Tour. The concert will begin at 6 p.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 27, at the Yuma Civic Center outdoor Sunset Terrace, 1440 W. Desert Hills Dr.

“The Pavlo concert that KAWC/KOFA-Border Radio is bringing to Yuma is part of a long tradition we have of putting on events to give Yuma and La Paz County residents a chance to enjoy the variety of cultures around the world. In the past we have brought in bands and performers from Scotland, Ireland, Mexico, Canada, and across the United States,” said David Riek, KAWC/KOFA General Manager. “The Pavlo show is special because he plays amazing guitar music from several traditions including Flamenco, Greek, and other styles. We are excited to be working with the team at the Yuma Civic Center to produce this concert outdoors on the Civic Center Patio. It should be a beautiful setting for a fantastic show. We know that Pavlo is excited to be coming to Yuma to perform for the very first time.”

Guitarist Pavlo is a true world artist, famous for bringing every audience to their feet. The star of four PBS specials, Pavlo performs a lively blend of Greek, Flamenco, Latin, and even Balkan flavors, wrapped in contemporary pop.

For being all instrumental, Pavlo’s Mediterranean music speaks for itself. Over the span of his 20-year career, Pavlo, the internationally renowned, award-winning recording artist, performer, and songwriter, has released 15 albums including 4 PBS TV concert specials.

Born in Toronto to Greek parents, Pavlo has made a name for himself by offering a musical amalgam he simply calls “Mediterranean music.” His music has taken him all around the world. Along the way, he’s performed for royalty the likes of Prince Charles, and worked and toured with artists such as José Feliciano, Jon Secada, Olivia Newton-John, and The Tenors.

At the Yuma Civic Center Sunset Terrace, the audience will enjoy an intimate yet festive experience, with concessions, tacos, and adult beverages available for purchase.

General admission tickets are $25 and can be purchased here. More information can be found here.
