AWC’s CDLL Traditional Stone Soup Lunch on November 21

November 6, 2017

Yuma, AZ (November 6, 2017)- The Dr. Kathryn A. Watson Child Development Learning Laboratory (CDLL) at Arizona Western College will be having their traditional Stone Soup Lunch that will be shared with the children, their families and the AWC Community.  The event takes place on Tuesday, November 21st at 11:00am at the CDLL.

The children will be performing the story of “Stone Soup” by Marcia Brown bringing to life a story of kindness, giving and sharing.  This tradition has been going on since 1966 and the same stones are still used today. It's a yearly tradition that brings all of our families together and it promotes literacy for our children because the play is based on a story that is read to them. The event is a celebration of the holiday season and Thanksgiving.
