AWC to present three business leader panels during Global Entrepreneur Week

November 3, 2021

Yuma, AZ (November 3, 2021) – Arizona Western College will be offering three virtual sessions from experienced business leaders on successful leadership; supporting local communities; innovation and collaboration; and strategies to empower businesses to prosper from Nov. 8-10 as part of Global Entrepreneur Week.

Orchestrated by Reetika Dhawan, Vice President of Workforce Development and CTE, the purpose of hosting these events locally is to establish strong connections within the community for the betterment of businesses both large and small.

“Events like these help to cultivate innovation by giving entrepreneurs access to resources that they may not have had before as well as networking opportunities with others who share their passion,” said Dhawan.

“Global Entrepreneur Week celebrates entrepreneurs and their achievements. Entrepreneurship has been a major factor in shaping our society and has given us some of the most iconic companies on earth. The celebration of entrepreneurship began with the birth of industrialization, when technology was just beginning to emerge as a new power player in society. This era saw an explosion in jobs for skilled workers who could operate machines that were created by engineers. People took these opportunities to invest themselves into building up their own businesses, taking risks that would lead them to become successful businesspeople. Fast forward many years later, and now there are more than one billion small businesses around the globe generating trillions every year.”
