AWC hosts transfer events in honor of National Transfer Student Week
October 15, 2025Yuma, Ariz. (October 15, 2025) – From October 20-24, Arizona Western College is hosting a variety of workshops and events in honor of National Transfer Student Week. Over the course of the week, students will explore transfer options, speak with representatives from Arizona’s state universities, gain skills in financial literacy, and connect with employers from the Yuma community.
The highlight of the week is the Yuma Transfer and Career Expo, which kicks off the festivities by connecting students with transfer universities and local employers. In addition to eleven universities, over twenty local employers, agencies, and organizations are scheduled to attend.
“Arizona Western College students, alumni, and members of the Yuma community are invited to attend the Yuma Transfer and Career Expo,” shared Angela Amezaga, AWC Transfer Services and Program Coordinator. “This event provides an opportunity to explore career pathways and educational options. Students considering transfer are especially encouraged to participate in this week’s events to learn about available opportunities and to access valuable support and resources.”
