Event Details
In this beginner-level course, students will gain foundational skills in Microsoft Excel 2021/365, focusing on essential tools and techniques for creating, formatting, and managing spreadsheets. By the end of the course, participants will be able to confidently navigate Excel and perform basic data tasks.
Students will learn to:
- Understand the Excel interface, ribbon, and workbook structure
- Create, open, save, and print Excel workbooks
- Enter and edit data in cells, rows, and columns
- Use basic formulas and functions (e.g., SUM, AVERAGE, COUNT)
- Format cells, rows, and columns for readability and presentation
- Apply number formats, font styles, borders, and fill colors
- Adjust column widths and row heights
- Use AutoFill and Flash Fill for efficient data entry
- Sort and filter data in tables
- Create simple charts (e.g., column, pie, line) to visualize data
- Use basic page layout and print settings for professional output
- Understand and apply basic cell referencing (relative vs. absolute)
