On September 23, Arizona Western College was proud to host Yuma County’s state elected officials at a public Town Hall where they reviewed the impact of the 2025 Legislative Session. The Town Hall highlighted recent accomplishments and changes in legislation affecting the Yuma community.
Arizona Western College is pleased to welcome Scott Gross as the new Sports Information Director for the Athletics Department. In his new role, the former KYMA-TV News Anchor and Sports Director will spearhead the promotion of Matador Athletics.

AWC was the first college in the state, and one of a select few nationwide, to receive an early invitation to the program.
In an effort to meet the needs of growing industry demands, Arizona Western Entrepreneurial College is offering a new course that prepares students for Level 1 and 2 certifications in electric vehicle (EV) service and safety. The 8-week course is set to begin this October.

Arizona Western College invites the community to participate in a Back to School Food Drive from August 11 to September 8. AWC’s free food pantry, The Cubby, aims to raise 1,000 non-perishable food items to support students in Yuma and La Paz counties this semester.
