AWC Community Band presents “Americana” concert


The community is invited to join the Arizona Western College Community Band for the "Americana" concert on March 9th. The concert will be a tribute to traditional genres used by American composers including John Philip Sousa, Robert Russell Bennett, and Jack End.

KAWC’s Dave Riek earns Lifetime Service Award


KAWC and Border Radio General Manager Dave Riek is being celebrated by the Arizona Media Association with the Lifetime Service Award, recognizing more than 40 years of dedication to public radio and service to communities across Arizona.

Arizona Western College is seeking donations to support scholarships awarded at the annual La Cosecha banquet on May 14, which celebrates AWC students preparing to transfer to a university.

The Yuma Transfer and Career Expo will focus on providing students, alumni of Arizona Western College, and partner university students with transfer and career information as well as full and part-time employment, volunteer, and internship opportunities.

Arizona Western College leaders advocate in Washington, D.C. 


Arizona Western College leadership recently participated in the National Legislative Summit in Washington, D.C. to advocate for federal policies affecting community colleges. During the summit, the AWC delegation met with members of Arizona’s congressional leadership to discuss student financial aid, workforce development, and more.

AWC Agriculture students gain global perspective at international conference


Arizona Western College Agriculture students and faculty recently attended the International Plant and Animal Genome Conference (PAG 33), where students gained insight into global agricultural challenges, emerging technologies, and potential career pathways.
