Automotive Technology program earns national accreditation

May 14, 2019

Yuma, AZ (May 14, 2019) – The Arizona Western College Automotive Technology program recently went under a national accreditation review by the Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) Education Foundation.

The Master Automobile Service Technology program offered at AWC has continued to meet the five-year, national accreditation standards of quality education. The extent of the review covered program instruction, tools and equipment, and the facility.

“The accreditation provides an excellent opportunity for students and the community, because it strengthens Arizona Western College’s partnership with local industry. Having ASE accreditation is an added support that demonstrates students’ employability during their last semester of school and after graduation,” said Mike Murphy, Professor of Automotive Technology.

“The Automotive Technology program looks forward to continuing to work with the Yuma community and meeting the academic standards of the industry.”
