Graduates to be honored at La Cosecha banquet
May 8, 2019Yuma, AZ (May 8, 2019) – Arizona Western College will celebrate graduates during the annual La Cosecha (The Harvest) banquet on Thursday, May 16, in the Schoening Conference Center, located in the 3C Building of the AWC Yuma Campus, 2020 S. Ave. 8E. Registration begins at 5:45 p.m. and the program starts at 6:30 p.m.
Scholarship recipients and donors to be recognized at annual celebration
March 14, 2019Yuma, AZ (March 14, 2019) – The Arizona Western College Foundation will hold their Celebration of Scholars event on March 21, to honor scholarship recipients and donors.
The annual appreciation banquet is held to recognize the academic achievements of scholarship recipients and the generosity of donors who have made those opportunities possible. In 2018, the AWC Foundation granted almost $322,000 in scholarship awards and program support.
Southwest Gas Donates over $5K in Equipment to AWC
July 6, 2017Yuma, AZ (July 5, 2017)—On July 5th, Southwest Gas Corporation presented a donation of equipment to the Arizona Western College Agricultural Land Lab and the Ernest Lopez Welding Institute. The AWC Agricultural Land Lab received a Honda 2000 Generator and Ingersoll Rand Air Compressor. The Ernest Lopez Welding Institute was presented with a Miller 2005 Engine Drive Welder. These have all been serviced and are ready to be used by AWC students. The total estimated value of all of this equipment is $5,156.
