Prospective or incoming students are invited to drop in from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Start Up Saturday at the AWC Parker Learning Center, 1109 Geronimo Ave.

Students in La Paz County will have the opportunity to attend Financial Aid Workshops to learn about what funding sources are available to them. Staff will assist participants in preparing for the Spring and Fall 2020 semesters by helping them complete the financial aid process and fill out the 2020/2021 FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid.)

La Paz County high school graduates eligible for program upon completion of associate degree

Parker, AZ (September 3, 2019) – Arizona Western College has made a big commitment to the residents of La Paz County.

Starting with the class of 2019, high school graduates who enroll at AWC as full-time students and complete their associate degree within five consecutive semesters can be reimbursed for the entire cost of tuition and program fees as part of the new La Paz Promise.

Yuma, AZ (October 18, 2018) – Bailey Figueroa is graduating from Arizona Western College with her associate’s degree thanks to Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) funding.

She was initially inspired to pursue higher education after watching her older sister, Tiffany, become the first person in their family to graduate from college. Bailey wanted to follow in her sister’s footsteps, but finances were an obstacle. Without financial aid, she would have only been able to take two classes per semester due to cost.
