January 23, 2020Yuma, AZ (January 23, 2020) – Bestselling author and award-winning filmmaker Sara Vladic will be visiting Arizona Western College on Tuesday, Feb. 25, to present on a book she co-authored, “Indianapolis: The True Story of the Worst Sea Disaster in U.S. Naval History and the Fifty-Year Fight to Exonerate an Innocent Man.”
One Book Yuma author Barbara Jaquay to visit AWC
January 31, 2019Yuma, AZ (January 31, 2019) – Come meet One Book Yuma author Dr. Barbara Jaquay as she presents on her book, “Where Have All the Sheep Gone?” on Thursday, Feb. 7, at 6:30 p.m. at Arizona Western College.
The book takes a look at sheep ranchers and shepherds and how they contributed to Arizona’s history. Jaquay is a historical geographer that has traveled the state to share this rich history.
