AWC, YRMC enter into affiliation agreement to build future of regional healthcare

Yuma, AZ (February 13, 2023) – With a shared vision of transforming healthcare education in Yuma County, Arizona Western College and Yuma Regional Medical Center have recently entered into an affiliation agreement to create new programs and facilities for a sustainable future of a wide range of healthcare training. The early plans include a new allied health training facility adjacent to YRMC.
AWC campus community mourns loss of long-time student
February 20, 2020Yuma, AZ (February 20, 2020) – The Arizona Western College community is grieving the loss of long-time student Juanita Casas, who passed away on Wednesday afternoon following a medical emergency on campus.
“This is a time of great sorrow for our campus community,” said AWC President Dr. Daniel Corr. “I join the entire AWC community in extending our sincerest condolences to Juanita’s family, friends, and all who knew her, during this difficult time. Please keep her family in your thoughts. Juanita will truly be missed.”
