AWC confirms fourth staff case of COVID-19, temporarily shutters Yuma County campus locations
May 28, 2020Yuma, AZ (May 28, 2020) – A fourth member of the college’s essential team tested positive for COVID-19 this week causing the college to temporarily send all essential employees home for 10 days, to return on Monday, June 8. Remote work by college employees will continue.
The ill employee is hospitalized in stable condition. This past Tuesday the college announced 3 positive cases from the same essential employee team. All three are resting at home, recuperating, and their teammates send best wishes to the four employees and their families.

May 26, 2020Yuma, AZ (May 26, 2020) – Today teams at Arizona Western College confirm that in the past 24 hours, three (3) members of the college’s essential teams who have been working at the Yuma Campus have tested positive for COVID-19.
All three are resting at home, recuperating, and their teammates send best wishes to them and their families.
All three employees were quick to take their symptoms seriously, to self-isolate as soon they felt symptoms, to seek testing, and to share the results with Human Resources.
