Four Borders International Academic Alliance Celebrates 2nd Anniversary

Yuma County, AZ – The Four Borders International Academic Alliance (Alliance), an alliance of colleges, universities, and technical schools from the United States and Mexico celebrated its 2nd Anniversary on March 29, 2019 at the Arizona Western College Schoening Conference Center. As part of this celebration, an additional 7 new Alliance members signed on to the original Memorandum of Understanding that created the Alliance.

Yuma, AZ (April 9, 2019) – A strong collaboration between Arizona Western College and the Consulate of Mexico in Yuma, Arizona continues in increasing educational knowledge and opportunities for the Mexican migrant community.

   The objective of the Educational Orientation Window Memorandum of Understanding is to establish an ongoing presence at the Consulate to increase the information and guidance provided to the Mexican migrant community on educational matters, both in the United States of America (USA) and in Mexico.

Southwest Gas Donates over $5K in Equipment to AWC

Yuma, AZ (July 5, 2017)—On July 5th, Southwest Gas Corporation presented a donation of equipment to the Arizona Western College Agricultural Land Lab and the Ernest Lopez Welding Institute.  The AWC Agricultural Land Lab received a Honda 2000 Generator and Ingersoll Rand Air Compressor.  The Ernest Lopez Welding Institute was presented with a Miller 2005 Engine Drive Welder.  These have all been serviced and are ready to be used by AWC students.  The total estimated value of all of this equipment is $5,156.
