Jazz Ensemble to hold spring performance May 8
April 11, 2024Yuma, AZ (April 11, 2024) – The community is invited to join the Arizona Western College Jazz Ensemble for its spring end-of-semester concert.
The jazz band concert will feature challenging music the students have been working on this semester and will also feature AWC vocal students Dorothy Sánchez and Charles Shepherd.
The performance will be held on Wednesday, May 8, at 7 p.m. at the AWC Theater located on the Yuma Campus, 2020 S. Ave 8E. A campus map can be found here.
AWC Foundation receives $10K donation to support East Yuma County students
July 21, 2022Yuma, AZ (July 21, 2022) – Yuma Investment Group Wealth Management recently donated $10,000 to the Arizona Western College Foundation to benefit East Yuma County students.
The contribution was the result of the firm’s recent Carson Partners Impact Award, which gives winners a $5,000 match award to donate to their favorite organization.

Students and donors to be recognized during Celebration of Scholars
September 17, 2019Yuma, AZ (September 17, 2019) – The Arizona Western College Foundation will hold their Celebration of Scholars event on Thursday, September 19, 2019, to honor scholarship recipients and donors.
The annual appreciation banquet is held to recognize the academic achievements of scholarship recipients and the generosity of donors who have made those opportunities possible. During the 2018-2019 academic year, the AWC Foundation granted almost $350,000 in scholarship awards and program support.

Senior Day happening at AWC on Feb. 6
January 31, 2019Yuma, AZ (January 31, 2019) – High school seniors in the Arizona Western College Talent Search and Upward Bound programs will be learning about scholarships and getting prepared for their first year of higher education during an upcoming Senior Day event.
On Wednesday, Feb. 6, the students will be visiting the AWC Yuma Campus, 2020 S. Ave. 8E, from 9:15 a.m. to 1 p.m. Seniors will be divided up on two different tracks, one for those going to AWC in the fall and the other for those going on to a university.
