AWC honored by APS for energy savings in construction of new MAC facility
November 1, 2023Yuma, AZ (November 1, 2023) – Arizona Western College was recognized by APS today for its energy savings and sustainability practices in the construction of its new Matador Activity Center (MAC) housed at the Yuma Campus, 2020 S. Ave 8E.
To honor AWC for its efforts, APS presented the college with an equipment rebate check for over $9,300 as well as a distinction of Clean Energy Project Achievement. The award recognizes AWC for:

Yuma, AZ. (February 8, 2023) – McCarthy Building Companies recently completed the topping out of the $17.5 million Matador Activity Center at Arizona Western College. The center, which will serve more than 11,000 students, features a two-story, 45,000-square-foot building set on 3.5 acres within the campus and will open in fall 2023.
