What is an AWC netID?

An AWC netID is used to access AWC email (student or faculty/staff), Blackboard, Student Planning and WebAdvisor.

How do I get an AWC netID?

Once you’ve been accepted and receive your AWC ID number, the quick account activation process will set up all of your student accounts.

Visit https://accounts.azwestern.edu/ to start the activation process.

What if I forget my password?

If you have forgotten your password you can reset your password by visiting the AWC self service account managment page: SSRPM. If you still need assistance, contact AWC's Help Desk by calling (928) 317-5892 OR by e-mailing AWC'S Help Desk: helpdesk@azwestern.edu.

What is Blackboard?

Blackboard is software that instructors at AWC use to supplement regular classroom instruction and to teach online courses. It offers a user-friendly environment where students can:

  • Read announcements from the instructor
  • View course information like syllabi and class notes
  • Take quizzes online
  • Email the instructor or classmates
  • Exchange computer files with the instructor
  • Read and post messages on a bulletin board
  • Chat with the instructor, classmates, and more!

 

How do I access Blackboard?

You can access Blackboard from any computer that is connected to the internet and has a recent web browser. Point your browser to AWC homepage and click on the "Blackboard Login" graphic. You can also access Blackboard by typing directly into your browser http://blackboard.azwestern.edu

If you just registered for a course within the last 24 hours, please wait. It can take up to 24 hours before your registration information gets transferred into Blackboard. Express Registration is an excellent tool that helps you register quickly using a course's Synonym #.  Use this registration process during early registration periods such as Priority Registration.

How to Search, Register, & Waitlist Courses (video)

Use the Search & Register process to view the most current information on course availability.  If a class is closed, use the Waitlist as you may still have a good chance to get into the class you want.
