Yuma Catholic to participate as guest choir for Sunday performance

Yuma, AZ (March 6, 2024) – The Arizona Western College Chamber Singers and Yuma Chorale will present two choral performances, “Singing with the Masters,” this month.

This year’s performance will feature music written and arranged by female composers. From Vittoria Aleotti to Rosephanye Powell, a variety of genres and musical time periods will be represented.

Yuma, AZ (May 1, 2023) – The community is invited to attend “From Stage and Screen,” an upcoming choral concert presented by the Arizona Western College Music Department. 

The concert will feature AWC Chamber Singers under the direction of Deltrina D. Grimes and Yuma Chorale directed by Laura Surguine. Megan O'Brien, a soprano, will be the guest artist for the performance. O’Brien is the Choral Director at Kofa High School and an AWC alumni. Various student soloists will also be featured.

Music Department presents "With Songs of Rejoicing" Choral Concert

Yuma, AZ (March 16, 2023) – The community is invited to the Arizona Western College Winter Choral Concert, "With Songs of Rejoicing."

The concert will feature AWC Chamber Singers under the direction of Deltrina D. Grimes and Yuma Chorale directed by Laura Surguine.

"The choirs will perform music selections that reign from the traditional choral repertoire as well as exciting, lesser-known compositions in Spanish and Latin. Several of our songs speak to the joy, peace, and comfort that music can bring," said Grimes.
