Musicians sought for AWC Pep Band
January 12, 2023Yuma, AZ (January 13, 2023) – The Arizona Western College Music Department is currently seeking students interested in joining Pep Band.
“There are former high school band students all over campus, and we want to extend an invitation for these musicians to come join us,” said Dr. Shawn Pollard, Professor of Instrumental Music.
While every band instrument is needed and appreciated, trumpets, all woodwinds, and basses or tubas are in particular demand.
Music Department presents collaborative, end-of-semester Christmas Gala

Yuma, AZ (December 2, 2022) – The Arizona Western College Music Department will present its annual Christmas Gala at 6 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 11.
The joint concert will feature the AWC orchestra, band, string ensemble, choirs, and piano faculty. Audiences will be in for an enjoyable evening as students will be performing a culmination of music they’ve been working on for the Christmas Gala.
