Parker, AZ (August 30, 2018) – If it weren’t for the transfer opportunities offered through Arizona Western College and its partner universities, Berenice Heras wouldn’t be working toward earning a bachelor’s degree right now.

While working as a clerk at the Quartzsite Learning Center, Heras also began taking college classes and earned an associate degree from AWC in 2016. That accomplishment gave her the push she needed to continue her education by pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Justice Studies from Northern Arizona University - Yuma.
