As part of AWC’s Strategic Plan objective focused on enhanced technology and our work to provide an amazing student experience, we have a new Learning Management System (LMS), Canvas which will help to meet that objective. Many of you are familiar with Canvas, as it is the LMS utilized by our Yuma Union High School District partners. We are confident that Canvas will allow us to provide you with an improved online learning experience.

All classes are now being taught using Canvas at As a reminder courses will begin showing up in Canvas closer to the start of the semester. If you do not see a course you have registered for, please notify the Service Desk,, so we can look into the issue further. Remember to include your AWC ID#, AWC NetID and your Toro Email.

 How do I access my courses?

Once you have registered for courses, you will have access to log in to Canvas at using your AWC Toro Email and password. The courses will appear in Canvas at the beginning of each term. In the meantime, we encourage you to:

  • Get to know Canvas by going through the brief “Passport to Canvas” training course
  • Download the free Canvas app, available in the Apple App Store and Google Play Store, to access Canvas on your mobile devices

We know this is a significant transition in the midst of these already changing times. Our team has been working to ensure a smooth transition, and we know Canvas will improve your experience with online learning.
